Cloud Security Considerations
Newly emerging technology will have new emerging risks. We want to help mitigate those challenges facing security professionals today. Specifically, we want our work to help facilitate the privacy of intellectual property and confidentiality of data within cloud solutions. As an emerging technology, cloud computing has been defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as a “…model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction” (Mell, 2009).
The shift within companies toward cost effective cloud solutions guarantees that security and privacy will be a concern for some time. As security professionals we must know and understand the security risks associated with cloud computing and we attempt to address those concerns with professional services designed to evaluate and advise.

In addition, he maintains certifications related to Microsoft systems / network management; CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional); CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) and CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor). Steve is also a certified Lead Implementer for the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security framework and Lead Risk Manager for ISO/IEC 27005.
